The Lido delle Rose
Roseto degli Abruzzi is a great place to spend a beach vacation! We at Palmarosa Hotel want you to discover the best of our town and its surroundings.
In Roseto, you will find a beautiful beach, about 6 km long, with equipped beach resorts for those who like to play sports. The sand slopes gently down to the clean, blue sea, ideal for children to play. The town has been awarded the Blue Flag several times, a symbol of the purity of its waters and quality of its services.

During the summer, the Roseto seafront is filled with life, thanks in part to summer events, such as the feast of Santa Maria Assunta (Saint Mary of the Assumption), celebrated on August 15 each year with a long procession of boats and fireworks displays. Another very important event is the Wine Exhibition, where excellent local companies offer their food products.
The surrounding area
Make your vacation in Roseto unforgettable by exploring the surrounding area: Abruzzo is a region full of wonders of all kinds. Marvel at the landscape in all its forms!
Nature
Roseto degli Abruzzi has no less than two green lungs: the central pine forest, where you can find refreshment and shade, and the Savini pine forest, once the private park of the wealthy family from Teramo who bore this name.
Within the territories of Roseto, Cologna and Montepagano, on the other hand, lies the Borsacchio Nature Reserve, where it is possible to find special plant species such as the sea lily (rare and poisonous) and the sulla coronaria (a wild and healing plant). Its fauna is also rich, including endangered birds such as the plover.

Bike
For lovers of two wheels, visiting Roseto will be a pleasure, thanks to its bike path that follows the shoreline, parallel to the seafront. For an extra challenge, perhaps on a mountain bike, there are countless cycling routes between the sea and the hinterland. You can get on a bike and follow the routes from the coastline to the Gran Sasso National Park. Here, you can admire the breathtaking views of places such as Montorio al Vomano, Pietracamela and Rocca Santa Maria.
WINE
Abruzzo's viticultural excellence is experiencing slow but steady growth. There are two grape varieties that are most common in our area, which have also obtained DOC certification: Montepulciano (red) and Trebbiano (white), from which different types of red and white wine are made. In Roseto, the inclination for this sector is strong: local wineries give tourists the opportunity to visit them, to discover their production methods and taste their products.
Villages and towns
Roseto's oldest hamlet is Montepagano, which has become part of the Borghi Autentici d'Italia (Authentic Villages of Italy) for its wealth of traditions, events and cultural activities. Walking through its alleys, one can admire fantastic views. Other interesting places to visit are Civitella del Tronto, with its Bourbon Fortress dating back to the mid-1500s, and Elice, where, in August, a cultural-historical reenactment of the Middle Ages, called Notte nell'Ilex, is staged.
